Coached running:
A great way to lose weight


Running is one of the most effective ways to help you lose weight and develop your cardiovascular fitness. The coached running program is an excellent training mode for those who are experienced runners, or for those who are just beginning a program. Whether you are a first time runner just looking to improve your fitness and lose a some weight or an experienced racer who wants to maximize performance, these workouts will help you meet your goals.

Training can be done with the group or one-on-one private sessions. Both are ideal for beginning or returning runners who need special attention regarding the various components of running such as pacing, selecting running shoes, injury prevention, proper form, and correct technique. These sessions are also great for more advanced runners who need special workouts to meet particular goals such as running a marathon. Private consultations are also available to develop long-term individual running programs.

Sessions are held Tuesdays at the Mira Costa high school track located at the corner of Artesia Blvd and Peck Ave. in Manhattan Beach, beginning at 6:00 PM. Open sessions are also done at 6:00 PM on Thursdays and are run on a variety of routes throughout the beach area.
